i received a christmas card from sarah! i always look forward to receiving her cards. never fail to give me the warm and fuzzy feeling haha thanks! (:
it gave me a sudden urge to look through all letters and cards i had received and kept. looking through all the christmas cards, birthday cards and postcards i received, i cant help but feel nostalgic and sentimental. i smiled at the christmas messages, laughed at the some of the birthday cards (always the typical message every year "grow older already must be more mature"), got touched at the encouraging postcards and the occasional heartaches from some letters. i was brought back to the memories surrounding each memento, some of which i dun recall but most still clearly lingered in my mind.
all these messages captured the inner voices of my friends and like photos, will always reflect the mindsets or feelings of the person at that current moment. i would like to thank them for taking the time to pen down the well wishes. would also want to apologise to some of them for some things that i did (or didn't do). maybe it is too late for that now but i still hope they will find their ways to the intended receivers one day.
happy christmas eve anyways! (:

one month plus shy of jetting off and still it feels unreal. perhaps the ten-month wait has already numbed me. i'm still enjoying my holidays, lazing around, going out, reading, oh and i even did MPE even though i know i am not returning next sem.
today i took one more step towards SH by going for the medical checkup (and stupidly forgot to bring the form). next week i'll be going to apply for my visa, attend more briefing sessions, know my peeps and hopefully settle my accommodation. but now it is still too early to pack, too early to say my goodbyes. and i am not sure how though. think i'll wait till january.
perhaps it will feel more real then.
My prayer is simple, my child, my child,
Please, do try to understand:
I've given you freedom, and left you with choices.
Now you're at the beginning,
Again.
